Kevlar is an aramid complex consisting of a combination of a wear-resistant and a heat-resistant fiber. The way these fibers are interwoven gives Kevlar its exceptionally abrasion resistant property. The loops created during interweaving, in case of tension such as in an accident, overlap, forming a wear-resistant layer.

Maintenance Kevlar leggings
If the leggings have protectors, these should be removed before washing. We recommend that you wash the leggings inside out and separately, just like any other new garment, in case the leggings run off. Often a cold wash (30 degrees) is recommended, but check the label of the leggings to be sure. Hang the leggings on the hip belt to dry, we do not recommend drying in a dryer.
