Scooter helmets
What is the difference between a scooter helmet and a motorcycle helmet?
The difference between a motorcycle helmet and scooter helmet is mainly in the price. According to the law there is no difference and for the layman a scooter helmet is the same as a motorcycle helmet. When manufacturing a scooter helmet, cheaper materials are used to keep costs low. The noticeable difference between the two helmets is mainly in the finish of the helmet, the safety, the sound, the aerodynamics and the ventilation. At lower speeds on the scooter, the requirements for comfort and safety will be lower than at higher speeds and longer distances. With which you can also work well with a scooter helmet.
Do I choose a jet, integral or system scooter helmet?
This choice depends on the use and personal preferences. Someone who drives a lot of miles in winter is more likely to lean towards an integral scooter helmet than a jet scooter helmet. For the recreational rider who drives short distances in the summer, a jet scooter helmet is a more suitable option. A system scooter helmet offers you a combination of both, but is a bit heavier and larger.
