What are the advantages of textile motorcycle pants?
Most motorcyclists in the Netherlands opt for textile motorcycle pants, and that is not without reason. Textile motorcycle trousers are often provided with a waterproof and breathable membrane and a removable thermal lining and can therefore be worn all year round. The possibility to adapt the motorcycle pants to the weather conditions is more than desirable in the Dutch climate. Textile motorcycle pants are easy to put on and can be worn over normal clothing. This is ideal for those who commute to work as you don't need to bring extra clothes.

Textile literally means 'all that is woven together'. Wear-resistant fabrics are woven into the textile motorcycle trousers in combination with a polyester fiber. The wear-resistant fabrics can be Cordura or, for example, Kevlar. These are substances that are so strong that during an accident they ensure that the fabric stays together and does not wear or melt. Because these wear-resistant fabrics are very stiff, they are woven with a supple polyester material for comfort. This makes the pants a bit smoother and more comfortable in fit. Textile motorcycle pants are a safe and practical choice for both the hobbyist and the seasoned motorcyclist.

Maintenance textile motorcycle pants
You can wash textile clothing with a special detergent for textiles. Never use fabric softener! The pants often have a waterproof membrane. Sometimes you can zip these out. In that case, you can wash the pants without the membrane in the washing machine on a wool wash program.

When the membrane is in place, it is better to wash the pants by hand. Protection should always be removed before washing. Often the protection is in a bag with Velcro so that you can easily reach it.

Textile clothing can be protected against water and dirt with a textile impregnation spray, which makes cleaning a lot easier.
