Back protectors

What are the advantages of a back protector?
A back protector has been specially developed to protect your spine in the event of an impact on your back. Back protectors are available as inserts for your motorcycle jacket, but also as separate 'vests', also called back protectors. These back protectors are approved according to the CE level 1 and the even better CE level 2 standard. Most back protectors have a band around the waist for extra support on the lower back.

Back protectors for motorcyclists come in different shapes and sizes. The right size back protector starts at your upper spine and continues up to your tailbone. Most back protectors are made of polycarbonate and fitted with cushioning material for optimal shock absorption. Back protectors can be quite warm on the back, for this reason you see many ventilation holes and cooling materials that wick away your perspiration.
