Cardo communication systems
Cardo is one of the largest manufacturers of bluetooth communication systems. With the Scala rider series, Cardo has developed a series of bluetooth systems especially for the motorcycle. The Scala rider communication systems excel due to, among other things, the finish, the ease of use and the advanced options that make motorcycling much more fun than it already is.
The Scala Rider Q1 is sufficient for the motorcyclist who only wants to use a navigation system or mobile phone. The Scala Rider Q1 is also available as a team set, so that you can also communicate with a pillion passenger. If you also want to communicate from bike to bike, there is a Scala Rider Q2 PRO, Scala Rider Q3 and Scala Rider G9. The latter two models come with both a bracket and adhesive microphone. The advantage of the adhesive microphone is that it can be mounted much better in a full-face helmet. The microphone is not attached to the holder with a bracket but with a wire. The current Scala Riders also have A2DP so that music can be listened to in stereo. The Scala Rider Q1, the Scala Rider Q3 and the Scala Rider G9 can be provided with firmware updates by means of the supplied PC interface cable.
All Scala Rider sets come with a bracket to clamp or stick to the helmet, with which the set can be mounted on practically any helmet. All Scala Riders have automatic volume adjustment so that the volume automatically increases as the speed is increased. In addition, microphones with noise suppression are used so that communication can also be carried out at higher speeds. In addition, an MP3 player with a cable (supplied as standard) can be connected to all Scala Riders, of course the music is pushed away as soon as there is communication or a navigation instruction is given. The Scala Rider Q2 PRO, G4, G9 and G9x can be linked together, but also to the SRCS from Schuberth. The maximum range between two motors is determined by the module with the least range. With the SRCS system this is a maximum of 300 meters in the ideal situation and with the SRCS Pro 700 meters.
