HJC Helmets

HJC helmets have been around since 1971 and have been the largest helmet manufacturer in the world for decades. HJC annually produces millions of helmets that are worn by all types of motorcyclists. HJC is represented by the biggest names in Moto GP, Superbike and cross GPs. With the new RPHA line, HJC helmets has also launched a complete High-end line on the market that competes at the top in helmet land.

HJC has 4 production facilities in the world; where almost 2 million helmets are produced. The headquarters are in Korea; in “helmet valley”. As the name indicates, a valley in Korea where only motorcycle helmets are produced. HJC started there in 1971. Complete HJC helmets are made in this headquarters; from visor to helmet shell; HJC produces everything itself in this factory. Since 2008, HJC has been one of the few Korean companies to have a production facility in a special economic development zone in North Korea. In this way, HJC supports the development of the North Korean people. HJC hopes that through initiatives like this North Korea will become a free country. In this factory HJC produces simple helmet parts. HJC has been producing helmets in China since the second half of the nineties. That happens with the same philosophy as the giants such as Sony, Panasonic and Nikon from Japan do. Development in the home country; all raw materials also come from the home country and the lower labor costs mean that production in China results in a strong price for motorcyclists around the world.

Since the end of 2008, HJC has taken a new step to ensure that HJC continues to produce helmets at a unique price / quality ratio; opening of a new factory in Vietnam. By the way, the production concept remains the same as in China. R&D Center HJC invests a very large part of its profit in the development of new helmet models. In this way HJC helmets become safer and more comfortable. In our own R&D Center, no fewer than 50 engineers work daily on the improvement of HJC helmets. This R&D center is the largest helmet R&D Center in the world. Since 2007, this Center has been enlarged with the special wind tunnel. With the wind tunnel, advanced techniques and a lot of testing and improvement can be used to achieve the greatest possible stability, optimal ventilation with the lowest possible vibration level, minimal wind noise and air resistance.

Scott Hong: Director and Chairman of HJC: “We take our claim to be No. 1 worldwide very seriously. We know that we are expected to come true.
with the latest developments and designs. Our uncompromising testing methods guarantee a top product with corresponding top technology. And that applies to every model that a customer purchases from HJC. ”
